Monica Studdert Eskin is a New York native. She was born in the Bronx and was raised there as well as in Queens and attended schools in New York City, a SUNY College and  New York Law School. She chose to specialize in family and matrimonial law because she enjoys helping people with complicated situations. She knows that she can make a difference in her client’s lives in this field.

After graduating from college, before attending law school, Ms. Eskin worked as an editorial assistant for McGraw Hill Publishing Company. As a lawyer, she is the member of several associations and has also served on their committees, like the Matrimonial Family Court Committee of the Bronx Bar Association.  Ms. Eskin worked as a solo practitioner for one year after law school before partnering with her husband in their own firm. The two have been practicing together for more than 20 years. Their unique partnership has provided the pair with a special perspective on family law matters.

Ms. Eskin lectures and conducts Continuing Legal Education programs for other lawyers and members of the judiciary. She enjoys hiking, tennis, bicycling and jewelry-making.
